Although there may be hundreds of author promotion sites out there on the internet, Author Autobahn is quite a bit different.  We're published authors, coaches, and sales professionals who have gone through the sludge and found out what works and what doesn't. 

We're always on the lookout for new ways to promote our clients.  We're tireless in our pursuit to get the word out because in the end it all rests on our shoulders if a client is satisfied or not.  We pride ourselves on our reputation!

We work closely with our clients, have open communication at all times, and help to empower authors.  What does that mean?  Well, most companies will just pat an author on the head and say, "There, there, let us handle everything.  We're the pros.  Trust us."  The problem is, it leaves authors clueless as to what's going on and they're unable to pick up where the PR agent left off.

We do a vast majority of the work for our authors, but we also show them how to handle things themselves so they can take charge of their book promotion.  We see this as a joint effort where we have the torch in the beginning and blaze a trail for our authors, then we either hand over the torch or carry it together--whichever the client prefers.

Al Clemens is a publicist and media strategist for writers and authors. He has helped numerous authors increase name recognition and dramatically improve book sales through visibility, headlines and interview opportunities. He represents all genres including fiction, nonfiction, adult and children’s literature. As an independent book publicist, Al has promoted a wide variety of literary and commercial fiction and nonfiction titles including cookbooks, self-help books, business books, environmental books, health books, parenting books, memoirs and sports books.

Al, a graduate of the University of Michigan, has been in the publishing field for more than 20 years. He began his publishing career as an Account Executive with the Research Institute of America in New York. Later, he was employed with Bell & Howell Information and Learning (formerly UMI now ProQuest Company - a leader in the microfilm and electronic library information business – Ann Arbor, MI) for 7 years as a License Agreement Negotiator/Rights & Permissions. He was a Senior Account Executive in the Publisher Relations Division. He spent several years as a consultant to magazine publishers and facilitated the monetization of their content over the internet.

Al currently facilitates the planning and executing publicity campaigns for lead commercial fiction and non-fiction titles; pitching and securing top national and local media, including print, television, online and radio; writing press materials, researching media contacts, updating media lists, and assembling all logistics of multi-city book tours and appearances, including coordinating book signings, and securing media opportunities.

Brigit lives in beautiful Sacramento, CA with her husband and two boys.  A long time reader, she's been writing her own tales for quite some time but hasn't shared them until recently.  With a full time job and working as our advertising gal, writing is a luxury and joy that's sometimes hard to find, though always a priority in her life.
